Our Flashers and Apex lures are known by many names, including: Apex lures, Hot Spots, Apex, Flashers, and even Apex Flashers!
The important thing to look for is the Hot Spot logo and the Hot Spot name. This is also the official website for all Hot Spot
products. Our lures are so effective that several copycat lures have come to our attention. Unfortunately, these lures are cheap
imitations attempting to capitalize on the Hot Spot name and Apex lure product lines -- even
using names that sound similar to our products. They claim to be improvements on the
Hot Spot Flasher and the Hot Spot Apex lures. However, as fishermen will tell you, this is an
impossible claim as the Hot Spot Flasher and Hot Spot Apex lures are perfect lures --
perfected over thirty years of continuous development and fishing success.

Hot Spot Lures has sole ownership of the Hot Spot name, the Hot Spot logo, Hot Spot
Flashers, and Hot Spot Apex lures. The Apex is a registered trademark of Hot Spot Lures, and Apex lures are manufactured
solely by Hot Spot Lures. All content appearing on this site is the sole property of Hot Spot Lures Ltd. and
may not be reproduced. All lures bearing the Hot Spot name are manufactured and
assembled at our plant in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
All genuine Hot Spot lures appear on this website and this website alone. If you do not
see a lure here, or our registered logo on the packaging, it is not one of ours. We continue to
receive complaints from fishermen who have accidentally purchased an imitator and been
disappointed by both the quality and results.

NEW REFLECTIVE PRODUCTS
We have expanded our Flasher and Apex lineup to include ultraviolet reflective resins for 2007. The UV pigment is
blended into the resin prior to injection so it is distributed throughout the thickness of the lure for maximum visibility to
marine species.
Scientists have conservatively shown that there is sufficient UV light for vision to depths in excess of 700 feet in ocean water, and even deeper in freshwater, even on overcast days. Ultraviolet light is reflected by the pigment in the lures creating a sparkle fish can spot from far greater distances than lures without the special pigment. Unlike the human eye fish can see into the ultraviolet wavelength and use this ability to locate feed.
We offer the ultraviolet technology in 6 finishes on all three sizes of our flashers, 5", 8", and 11" models. There are also 5 new UV finishes in the famous Apex lure. All five finishes are available in the 1" and 1.5" Kokanee Specials and Trout Killers as well as all seven sizes in the regular hookup. Ultraviolet flasher finishes are Chameleon, Stealth, Jellyfish Clear Plaid, Purple Haze, Pink Haze and Green Haze. Ultraviolet Apex finishes are Jellyfish, Purple Haze, Chartreuse Haze, Pink Haze, and Orange Haze.
The 1.5" Jellyfish Kokanee Special was test marketed in Northern California in Spring of 2006 with very impressive results. Anglers report excellent results for Kokanee and Trout. The winner of the New Melones Kokanee Power Derby, Pro Division, took 2 of the 4 fish he weighed in on a Jellyfish Kokanee Special. Coincidentally the largest Kokanee weighed in during the tournament was taken on a 1" Apex Kokanee Special, #420 Doom finish.
